International payments
An international payment is a payment to a foreign country or a payment in foreign currency to another Estonian bank.
Funds will typically reach the recipient's account on the same day, provided the payment order is submitted before the relevant currency cut-off time. Please note that the actual delivery time may depend on the receiving bank and the specific characteristics of the payment.
The date when the recipient's bank transfers the amount to the recipient's account depends on the recipient's bank and the regulations in force in the respective country.
Service charges:
- SHA – shared costs, which means that the payer and the payee each pay their bank's service fees
- OUR - Payer's expenses, which means that the payer pays all service charges. The payment usually reaches the recipient in full.
In the case of a payment made within the EU/EEA, the OUR service fee can only be used if a currency conversion takes place during the payment processing or if the payment is made in a currency other than the currency of the EU/EEA region.
