Upcoming changes to SEPA payments starting 6 October 2025
To comply with the new European Union Instant Payments Regulation and to increase payment security, OP Bank will introduce changes to payment initiation and execution.

What will change?
From 6 October 2025:
- Outgoing SEPA Instant Payments will be available with a transaction limit of €15,000
- You will be able to choose between three payment options:
- Instant – processed immediately, in real time.
- Classic – processed according to standard SEPA timelines.
- Fallback – payment is first attempted as Instant; if not possible, it will be processed as Classic
From 9 October 2025:
- The Verification of Payee service will be launched.
- You will be able to set your own limit for instant payments (the current €15,000 bank limit will be removed).
